We drove to Cyclopedia and rented 2 hybrid bikes on a mild almost-cold day with plans to hop on the bike trails right next to the shop. The crew had us checked in, sized for bikes, helmeted, and bike locked in less than 15 minutes. Super helpful and friendly staff! They gave us the low down on the bike trails, including a map, and we were on our way. The trail is less than one block from the shop. We found every bike path to be well-maintained and super level- no hills. It made for a wonderful day without exerting too much energy. We rode bikes north to the Huntington State Park, then through some no-traffic lovely neighborhoods, and then returned south and wove our way through bike trails and sidewalks all the way to Pawley’s Island, where we saw some historical homes/markers. Such a wonderful way to spend a day. Next time I’ll book 2 days. And in case you are wondering, the seats are the wide and cushy ones, not the long narrow ones that will make you instantly sore if you haven’t ridden in a long time!

They were very responsive to my needs. It was a great rental with lock and helmut included, and even a bell on the bike. The bike was the right size and worked well. I already had a bike rack on my car so transporting it was no problem. But if you’re renting for just the day, the Murrells Inlet bike way is just across the street, The weekly price was great.

We rented bikes from Cyclopedia on our trip to Pawleys Island. They were very helpful and friendly from start to finish. We reserved over the phone and they were very helpful. They delivered the bikes at the appointed time to our house and provided everything we would need (locks, helmets and maps). The bikes were in great shape and they came and picked them up at the end of our stay. It’s hard to find good old fashioned friendly, honest service these days- we are so glad we went with Cyclopedia!

Camping at Huntington Beach SC for a week and wanted bicycles for our stay in March. Called four other rental places and they were all not offering current services for a variety of reasons. Finally I called the park for help and they gave me Cyclopedia’s contact. They dropped off our bikes at the gift shop and left them locked up for us. We returned them the same way the day we left. Super easy! Bike were nice, no issues. Definitely glad we “upgraded” to three speeds for the area. We biked all over the park and out on the beach during our stay. Highly recommend this company! Appreciate they were still a hard working small business when other ones in the area were slacking. Support these guys! They want and appreciate the business
